HISTORY OF THE SHOW

Athlone Agri Show 2024 has a fantastic new show committee which has brought with it some amazing features to the show which takes place on the 16th of June.

At the Athlone Agricultural Show, there's something for everyone's taste. From showcasing horses, ponies, dressage and show jumping, to pedigree and commercial cattle, sheep, goats, and sheep dog trials. There are also poultry classes, a poultry sale for buying and selling, a super dog show, and both indoor and outdoor trade stands, as well as a craft village and cookery classes.

The show prides itself on welcoming all urban and rural dwellers to enjoy a family fun day with a host of activities to entertain the whole family. The show endeavours to also give local food and craft entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their produce on the day.

What sets this show apart is the Made in the Midlands Food Village, where you can't afford to miss visiting and tasting all the best from local producers. The food village is a unique platform for producers to exhibit their goods and engage directly with customers about production methods and health benefits. With its longstanding reputation as a fantastic day out, why not put the Athlone Agri Show in your diary this year?
